This is a Private Collection strain and is released January through March 2012. Profile: This strain was originally sourced from a now defunct brewery on the banks of the river Thames outside of Oxford, England. Thames Valley II produces crisp, dry beers with a rich malt profile and moderate stone fruit esters. This attenuative strain is also highly flocculent resulting in bright beers not requiring filtration. A thorough diacetyl rest is recommended after fermentation is complete. Beer Styles: Ordinary and Special Bitters, ESB, Northern English Brown, Robust Porter, Dry Stout, Foreign Extra Stout Alc. Tolerance 10% ABV Flocculation High Attenuation 72-78% Temp. Range 60-70°F (15-22°C) Wyeast Private Collection is interactive. You may voice your requests for the strains they feature by contacting them at privatecollection@wyeastlab.com. While they cannot respond to every message, they will read and log every message, and use this feedback when determining what strains to include in future promotions. If there is a strain you’d like them to feature, a brewery whose Proprietary Strain you’d like to brew with, an award-winning beer recipe you’ll allow them to post on their website, or if you’d like to provide them with any feedback at all… please contact them!
